My architect submitted an application for side and rear extensions to my cottage but the council planning officer wanted my architect to reduce the size of one and remove the other. Reluctant to agree to this I commissioned Phil to see if he could help.

Phil provided my architect a statement based on planning policy that argued what we had proposed was still subordinate to the main dwelling in line with the design policy and he argued the cottage is so well screened nobody could see it in any case. Whilst my architect was sceptical the planning officer would accept it, Phil assured me it was a negotiation and that his planning policy research could persuade the officer.

I received a planning approval just a week later for what Phil proposed. I was so pleased I commissioned Phil as he helped me achieve my ideal outcome without having it watered down. And his fee for his work was very reasonable.
